Far Cry is a First-Person Shooter developed by Crytek Studios and published by Ubisoft in 2004. In Far Cry an Ex-U.S. Special Forces operative named Jack Carver runs his own boat charter business in the south pacific after he quit his former job. One day he is contacted to escort a female journalist to a lonesome, tropical archipelago. But shortly after she arrives at the beach, she disappears and Jack nearly gets killed as mercenaries destroy their anchoring boat.
